Before you go
Nearly half of the route follows quiet roads and more than 20 km runs along beaches, so check tide times and wear footwear suited to sand and tarmac. The crossing of Mount Brandon's shoulder is the highest and most exposed stage. Access is permissive and the route closes each year on 28 February; dogs are not permitted. Book accommodation ahead in summer around Dingle and Dunquin.
The route
The track comes from the OpenStreetMap relation "The Dingle Way" and forms one continuous loop from Tralee back to Tralee. The distance measured on this geometry is longer than the 162.9 km published by Sport Ireland, which reflects differences between the mapped line and the official measurement. It is computed without altitudes and is not a walking time.
